RALPH HAYES

PRESIDENT/CEO 
Thirty-three years engineering and management experience.  Original founder of EDE.  Previously served as Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of the US Army Ammunition Equipment Office.  Responsible for the design and fabrication of equipment and systems pertaining to explosives and chemical and conventional munitions.  Manager of projects ranging from turnkey international explosives thermal treatment facilities to advanced demilitarization technologies development and environmental studies including combustion and dispersion modeling.  Received national TIBBETTS Award for Outstanding Small Business Research.
   

KEN SMITH P.E.

VICE PRESIDENT
CHIEF MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Forty-one years mechanical engineering and project management experience. Projects include: demilitarization systems and automated equipment for conventional and chemical munitions and equipment applications in hazardous (explosion proof) locations.  Preparation of Site Plans/Safety Submissions and Explosives Safety Plans; hazardous waste handling systems secondary containment design; and explosives testing and instrumentation system design and implementation.

JERRY CLAYSON P.E.

LEAD ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER 
Thirty-one years of professional experience in the environmental and RCRA permitting areas.  This includes the design of specialized pollution control systems for hazardous waste incinerators and a variety of specialized thermal treatment/Subpart X Miscellaneous units.  Has participated in a wide variety of environmental activities on over 30 RCRA Part B Permits and Superfund sites.  This has included actual system design, permit preparation, installation and start-up, Trial Burn Plan preparation and testing, remediation and site investigation.  Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Utah and Arizona.
   

BRYAN CRIST P.E.

LEAD FIELD/MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Twenty-Three years of experience in chemical and explosives munitions demilitarization, which included specialized equipment design.  Completed the mechanical design modifications required to convert a contaminated waste processor into a transportable flashing furnace. Developed training courses and assisted in the systemization of munitions demilitarization equipment for the Chemical Training Facility in Aberdeen, Maryland.  Developed feed and combustion systems for hazardous waste rotary kiln incinerators. Designed several air pollution control systems including a system designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures.  Lead field engineer for the installation of a rotary kiln incinerator and air pollution control system in Taiwan.   Designed equipment for contained burn chambers and completed a complex series of verification tests for contained burn chambers.  Developed and tested a prototype M55 warhead washout system.

   

GLENN JOHNSON

MASTER ELECTRICIAN/    LEAD FIELD ELECTRICAL COORDINATOR

 

Over twenty five years work experience as a licensed electrician.  Master Electrician License, General Electrical Contractor, AAS Degree in Electrical/Apprenticeship. Supervisory and Project Management responsibilities. Specialization in design, fabrication, and installation of electrical control systems.  Experience with PLC’s and MMI development software.  Responsible for installation and or maintenance of electrical systems in industrial plant processes in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
