El Dorado Engineering (EDE) is a full service consulting/design firm providing solutions to environmental problems across the world. EDE specializes in environmental challenges involving explosives and pyrotechnics contamination and munitions demilitarization. Services provided by EDE include items such as:
EDE now builds transportable pollution control systems to compliment our transportable flashing furnace (TFF). EDE developed this novel solution as society has become more aware of the impacts and concerns related to environmental issues. This approach still allows the versatility of site operations allowed by EDE's TFF, but will also significantly reduce the environmental impacts associated with thermal processing.

Additionally, EDE has designed and provided all types of air pollution control
equipment and systems including thermal oxidrs (afterburners),
cyclones, baghouses, wet and dry gas scrubbers, fans, and stacks. Work
can range from consulting up to a turnkey system with installation and
startup.

EDE prepares complete air permit applications including Operating Permits (Title V) for industry. We utilize all EPA approved modeling programs.
EDE prepares complete RCRA Part B hazardous waste permit applications. We specialize in Subpart O (incineration) and Subpart X (Miscellaneous units such as open burning and contained treatment).
EDE performs risk and environmental assessments for operations treating energetic wastes.
EDE performs a wide variety of services to assist clients in maintaining and improving their environmental compliance profile.
EDE conducts on-site sampling of soil, surface water, and air to evaluate operational impacts of industry and energetics treatment.
EDE prepares environmental plans and documentation such as environmental assessments, site safety and health plans, explosives safety submissions, RFI and RI/FS work plans, community relations plans, closure plans, and sampling plans. These documents are coordinated with, and approved by, EPA, state agencies, Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army Technical Center for Explosives Safety, and the Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board.
EDE conducts on-site RCRA audits to assist clients in correcting potential violations prior to regulatory scrutiny.
EDE conducts evaluation, cleanup, and closure activities for military, industrial, and former defense sites around the country.
EDE is internationally known for effectively dealing with sensitive explosives contamination problems in soil, air, groundwater, and surface water. Other contamination includes metals, solvents, and chemical agents.
EDE performs geophysical surveys and ordnance evaluation/cleanup for sites contaminated with UXO and OEW.
EDE prepares operational and safety procedures required for environmental remediation projects. These documents require approval by state agencies, EPA, the Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army Technical Center for Explosives Safety, and the Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board.
